Miami Heat Unveil Vice City Uniforms Ahead of GTA 6 Launch Week
Published Updated
The Miami Heat have revealed their "Vice City" uniforms, a Rockstar Games crossover built for GTA 6 launch week. The jerseys go on sale November 18, the same night the team hosts the Milwaukee Bucks.
Update (November 8): The reveal came on November 6, via a single post on the Heat's X account. Resell Calendar reports that sales are in person only, and the club has not announced online sales or shipping outside the United States.
According to Hot Hot Hoops, the Heat unveiled the uniforms on Friday, less than two weeks before Grand Theft Auto VI arrives on November 19.
What was announced
- The uniforms are a three-way collaboration between the Heat, Rockstar Games, Nike and Travis Scott's Cactus Jack.
- According to Pasquale Pillitteri, the fan-version Swingman jersey comes with matching shorts, and both sell in limited quantities at "A Night in Vice City."
- The night itself is the Heat's Vice City Night, a home game against the Bucks on November 18. The team announced it in early October as part of its Rockstar partnership. Per Pillitteri, tip-off is 7 p.m. Miami time at the Kaseya Center, on a special "Vice City" court, and the game airs live on ESPN.
- The full price and exact stock levels were not listed in the reports, so expect sell-outs if you want a pair.
The design
Hot Hot Hoops described the look as following the colorway of the Heat's previous "Vice Night" uniforms, with the light blue mostly gone, black lettering with a neon pink stripe, and a white stripe down the sides. It gave the design an 8.5 out of 10.
Pasquale Pillitteri, citing the club's photos and GTABoom and Sports Illustrated coverage, describes the Swingman as black with pink and white details. "Vice City" appears in script where the Heat logo would be, followed by a "VI" and six pink stars. The shorts are black with pink trim and repeat the all-pink logo and stars on the left leg. The players' game-day uniform is more restrained, with a map-inspired grid and no GTA mark on the chest, which SI attributes to Robinhood's branding.
What it means for players
This is a rare case where a sports team and a Rockstar release share a full marketing push. If you are a Miami fan or a Vice City fan, the drop is a collectible tied directly to the game's setting. Fans who want the gear should plan for November 18, since the quantities are limited and the event is a single night.
